Katerina Muravyova was born in the Trans-Baikal Territory in the military townof Chita-46.
She graduated with honors from SPGHPA named after A.L. Shtiglitsa Department “Communicative Design” with a degree in Graphic Design andthePenza Art School K.A. Savitsky, specialty “Teacher-painter.” She studiedat the New Media Laboratory on the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater inSt. Petersburg. He is a Member of the Union of Artists, Painting section.
The sphere of Katerina’s creative interests is wide: from conceptual painting to objects and interactivevideo/light installations and social projects and digital reality. The themes with which the artist works are a portrait of modernity and thesearch for self-identity.
Vector of the direction of Katerina’s activity has acquired a social color. Sheisa participant in socio-cultural, inclusive and educational projects in art, social projects in urban studies.
Katerina’s work has recently been presented by the Invasion, Waterfront/Water Line, Cash Register and othersprojects. In 2018, the 4-daysite specific performance project “Invasion” was presented at the international festival “Public Art” in St. Petersburg. In 2018 – 2019, Katerina was part of oneof the 4 groups of the Waterfront/Water Line international project. In 2019, sheshowed the site specific project “Cash Register” in the gallery “Kunst Showcase.” In 2019 and 2018, at the international festival of light art at theNight of Light in Gatchina, she presented her interactive light installations Salt Lake and Appearance. In 2018, the video installation “Contemplation of Time” participated in the media festival “The Longest Night at the French Institute,” which is held by the French Institute. In 2020, at the festival of light art “Not Dark” in Yekaterinburg, two projects “Hive” and “Drafts” were presentedona new scale. 2021 – Participatory cultural project of MARCH Fund “Chetverg”. Now she is a student in Art & Science by specialty digital art, ITMO, SPb. The artist has been boldly exploring the fields of digital reality in order toreunite virtual reality with the physical world.
