AN-NA is a modern Russian artist. She works in various media – from painting and sculpture to visual poetry and volumetric collages; she actively uses available materials and mixed techniques, which reveal creative tasks in the best possible way.

The artist tries to truthfully represent the observed object, where she inevitably deals with indirect optics. Moreover, this intermediate space, consisting of many layers and impurities, always acts like some sort of interline – separating and connecting. And in her works, AN-NA refers to the language of these lines and the spacing, the language of layers and voids through which the authenticity of the object itself, distorted and half-hidden, most clearly appears.
