Peter Bystrov is a well-known performance and visual artist, whose works please the eye of the viewer with their uniqueness, but at the same time do not leave us without grounds for a thought. The author uses a unique technique without trying to reliably express the details. With regards to this, the characters look a little awkward, comical; sometimes it is impossible to guess the emotion or two opposite emotions that are expressed at once. Peter Bystrov destroys social barriers in his work: a banker could stand next to marginalized people, a poet  could play on a tatami; parking visitors, businessmen, athletes, as well as the military coexist in compositions without any questions.

Peter Bystrov encourages his viewers to reflect on the richness of basic things, what surrounds us, the beauty of nature. His paintings are not “overloaded” with elements, but at the same time the compositions do not look simple. Each work has a special meaning.
